The Class of 2029 Lake Brantley playmaker has already shown the ability to make an impact well beyond his age. A shifty and explosive athlete with the ability to create after the catch, Ishmael is developing into one of the more intriguing young offensive weapons in the Orlando area.
Through four games of the 2026 season, Ishmael has recorded 10 receptions for 199 yards and two touchdowns while averaging an impressive 19.9 yards per catch. He has also added a rushing touchdown, showing the versatility to impact the game in different ways.
But his production didn’t start this season.
While playing at The Master’s Academy in 2025, Ishmael flashed major big-play ability. Against Geneva, he turned just three receptions into 131 yards and two touchdowns. Later in the season, he delivered one of his biggest performances yet, catching five passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns against Oak Hall in the SSAA 3A playoffs.
Those performances help explain why college programs are already getting involved. Ishmael currently holds offers from Ole Miss, Marshall and UTSA, an impressive early list for a prospect who still has several years of high school football ahead of him.
At around 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds, Ishmael has a strong build to go along with his quickness. What stands out most is his ability to make defenders miss, change direction and turn limited touches into explosive plays. He’s dangerous in space, but his nearly 20 yards per reception this season also shows that he’s capable of stretching the field and creating chunk plays.
There is plenty of development still ahead, but that’s what makes Ishmael such an interesting prospect. He’s already producing at the varsity level, already attracting college offers and still has significant time to grow.
As his role continues to expand at Lake Brantley, Kevin Ishmael III is establishing himself as one of the young playmakers to keep an eye on in Central Florida.
